Overview
DJ System provides two-deck mixing, shared playlists, spatial speakers and synchronized lights and effects. Create your own clubs with an in-game placement gizmo, use portable boomboxes, or enable the fixed Vespucci Beach festival with its separate FOH light desk.
The resource is sky_dj and includes its audio engine. It requires ESX, OneSync, ox_lib and sky_base, with a working SQL provider configured in Sky Base. Bring your own music library; demonstration music is not included.
Set up your first club
Install the resource
Follow Installation for dependencies, start order, database setup and your MP3 library. The customer package includes the built frontend.
Configure access and create a club
Open /djadmin with an authorized account. Use Configuration to choose who owns the settings, then create a club with a DJ booth and at least one speaker. Save the club.
Load music and check the sound
Add library tracks to a playlist and assign it to the club. At the booth, load deck A or B and play. Check speaker direction, range and output routing using Mixer and audio. Music Sync is optional; ordinary playback does not require it.

- Clubs and placement — Set DJ access, instances, room boundaries and permanent equipment positions.
- Mixer and audio — Use tempo, EQ, loops, transitions, automix and headphones; align speaker delays and set an independent booth mix.
- Lights and effects — Place fixtures, test them manually, and configure FOH presets, Music Sync, lasers and finite flame/CO₂ sequences.
- Boombox — Place a portable player, share YouTube playback or use the separate personal Spotify Embed.

Music delivery
One sky_dj resource uses your original MP3s in config/music/ for both modes. No conversion or separate music host is required. Choose the mode in /djadmin → Settings → Music & Playlists → Experimental on-demand MP3, then save. Enabling the experimental option requires confirming its warning.
| Detail | Normal MP3 | Experimental on-demand MP3 |
|---|---|---|
| In-game checkbox | Off; shipped default | On; optional and not stable |
| Delivery | First local MP3 use requests the complete optional music pack and mounts it in FiveM's native cache; this includes PFL headphones | Only currently needed songs transfer through FiveM; each selected MP3 must arrive completely before playback |
| During connection | No automatic music-library request | No optional music-pack request |
| Music folder | config/music/ | The same config/music/ |
Joining inside an audible, already playing club can require its current songs after connection. In Normal mode, that first local use can request the complete pack. Additional copies published through ordinary client files, streamed assets or another resource still download independently of this checkbox. Keep the supplied manifest and default music folder for the behaviour above.
Saving switches active music sources live without moving files, replacing the resource or restarting it. A Normal pack download already started and existing native cache files remain when you switch to Experimental. Adding or replacing MP3s still requires restarting their owning resource to rebuild the pack and catalogue. See Installation.
With Config.IngameSettings = true, the checkbox is saved in SQL and existing choices are retained during updates. File mode uses Config.MusicOnDemandExperimental instead; it ships as false. Follow Configuration when changing who owns these settings.
FiveM supplies the internal runtime. Customers install no extra Node.js, Yarn, npm modules, FFmpeg, Nginx, certificates or music-hosting service. Both modes retain the club mixer and spatial audio; YouTube and Spotify remain separate boombox features.
Optional festival
The fixed Vespucci Beach venue has a main stage, four crowd towers, a DJ position, a separate FOH desk and optional perimeter fences. Enable or disable it independently of your own clubs. Its controls and performance checks are covered in Lights and effects.
Use the assets included in your customer download. Private owner-local arrays, tents and demonstration music are not supplied as part of the public package. No separate nightclub MLO is included; custom clubs use your chosen venue map.
Updates and saved data
Settings, clubs, device layouts and playlists are persisted in SQL. Keep backups when updating and follow the update checklist.
