Client Exports

Open DOJ tablet applications from your client-side menus and integrations.

Shared APIs

ResourceUse it for
Jobs Base client exportsDocuments, radial actions, shared player interactions and tablet panels
Jobs Base server exportsDuty, employees, service features, dispatch, storage and society money
Base exportsCurrency, inventory bridges, phone/tablet providers and the Sky library

The export belongs to the resource named in its example. A shared export still uses sky_jobs_base or sky_base, even when called from a Police, Ambulance, Mechanic, Fire, Crime, DOJ or Creator integration.

Call these exports from your resource's client Lua. Document creation, record queries and courtroom integrations belong in Server Exports.

Declare DOJ as a dependency in your resource's fxmanifest.lua:

dependency "sky_dojjob"

Tablet

Open(route?)

Opens a DOJ tablet application from an existing menu or interaction. Omitting the route opens the law application.

-- client.lua, inside your existing menu action
exports["sky_dojjob"]:Open("/tablet/doj/files")
-- Open the default law application.
exports["sky_dojjob"]:Open()
ArgumentTypeDescription
routestring?Optional application route from the table below. Defaults to /tablet/doj/law.
RouteApplication
/tablet/doj/filesFile Explorer, including citizen and vehicle files.
/tablet/doj/shared-filesShared Documents.
/tablet/doj/lawLaw management.
/tablet/doj/offencesOffence catalogue.
/tablet/doj/conditionsCourt-condition orders.
/tablet/doj/hearingsHearings and courtroom workflow.
/tablet/doj/electionsElections.
/tablet/dojAlias for File Explorer.

Return value: none. Open requests the application to open; it does not return an authorization result. Application and record permissions still apply. An unknown route is rejected with a client diagnostic.

This export opens an application, not an individual case or document. Do not append documentId, caseFileId or arbitrary paths expecting a record deep link. Select the saved record in Files. The specialist /tablet/doj/registers application also exists, but is disabled by default and is not needed for citizen or vehicle files.

Internal compatibility exports

GetWorkflowFeatures()

Returns the effective client availability of the formal workflows:

local workflows = exports["sky_dojjob"]:GetWorkflowFeatures()
-- workflows.handovers: boolean
-- workflows.bodycamRequests: boolean

Both values are false when the DOJ tablet is disabled. Bodycam requests also require Handovers. Missing switches in older configurations retain the enabled defaults. This is a display-availability query, not a player's permission grant; the server still checks every request. Police uses it to show its Bodycam requests entry independently of the bail UI.

These exports support the maintained shared-preview and radial integration. They are listed for completeness; use Open for a custom tablet entry point and the server document APIs for authorized record workflows.

ExportExisting integration role
CloseSharedDocumentPreviewShared preview close callback and its existing focus lifecycle.
GetDocumentPreviewLocalesSupplies the existing document preview's locale data.
RequestSharedDocumentExisting asynchronous shared-document request callback contract.
RequestCourtExisting asynchronous handover/bodycam request callback contract.
getRadialActionsRadial compatibility provider; currently returns an empty table.

These callback contracts are not generic document import, print or permission-bypass APIs. Keep shared document viewing, sharing and printing in the established tablet workflow.
